The outback is a place of contrast and extremes. Cool at night but unbearably hot during the day. Harsh and unforgiving but a place of beautifull and pleasent sun rise and sun set. Seemingly dry and barren but home of countless oases of life.
After reaching Port Augusta I was happy to leave the outback behing but instantly missed it once I left.
Getting lost in the Red Centre of Australia is easy with its 360° monotony and a lack of landmarks. Once lost, you will be left behind and eventually forgotten. Your rediscovery is impossible unless a slow paced traveller passes by on foot or by bike, but how probable is that?
After passing through the Flinders Ranges I crossed the Goyders line to finally leave the Australien Outback behind and after 7 Weeks of blue skys reach a hilly English country side accompanied by allmost constant rain and drizzel.
During my bicycle trip across Australia I took a picture of myself every 100km. Missing pictures are caused by a lost camera and the fact that taking pictures seems irrelevant after beeing attcked by a king brown snake and pig hunting dogs.
