After crossing the Australien Continent in 2009 I had originally planned to kick off  the next Beyond Borders cycling project in spring of 2011. For quite some time I had been dreaming of another bicycle adventure crossing my second continent from the Northcape in Norway through eastern Europe to Troy at the steps of Asia.

Sadly the funding did not work out. Additionally, real life knocked on the door and handed me a promising 4 year PhD contract at the German Cancer Research Center in Heidelberg (DKFZ). As the thought of this trip still makes me smile, all plans were only postponed and as of spring 2015 I am back at my desk and planning.....
